“We’ve got a really unique set up here at Alberton. When you walk through the shop, we’ve got a cardio room, which is where you find every piece of cardio equipment. We’ve then got a little studio gym as well, so if you’re not really feeling like going upstairs where the show pieces are, you can come in and enjoy yourself in a smaller gym.”
“Upstairs is ridiculously large in size, and the layout we’ve created is just seamless! All the equipment is set up in a way that makes it really easy to use and navigate. We also created other spaces including an outdoor area that is very ‘combat’ style, so if you’re into army-style training then I suggest you head out there especially if you’re happy to brave the weather! We’ve also got our sauna space which is a bit of a meditation zone.”
“Upstairs, we’ve got a really impressive cable machine set-up that Life Fitness created. And we’ve actually created a bit of an aisle set-up where all of the machines are back-to-back but with space in between; the layout is a bit of a show-stopper. We’ve grouped the machines by muscle groups so, on the days that you’re doing certain exercises, you can pick your machines and go one-by-one without having to go too far into the gym if you don’t want to. Of course, we also have a functional area too, where members can go and do their own thing.”
“Life Fitness has been really awesome and they actually gave us some ideas of what would go well together and advised which machines might best complement each other; especially if you’re picking a certain day to exercise your arms, your chest or your back, for example. They actually gave us feedback on how we set it up, and we then utilised some of that feedback to make the gym a bit easier to use for some of our members.”
