Clayton Rec Xpress 24/7 Fitness gym opened in 2020, and what’s really amazing about this club is that there, we introduced our first functional and high-intensity interval training area; with the Life Fitness brand, of course, being the main focus. We’ve got sleds, ropes and kettlebells; and it’s really awesome to see all the members giving it a go or asking our personal trainers and managers for help and advice.
Cardio is especially important obviously for our cardiovascular health. What’s fantastic about Life Fitness is they’ve integrated these really nice big screens where you can actually record all your workouts, watch Netflix, or you can go into applications like Google as well.
It’s very important to have the cardio, resistance training, free weights and the functional and stretching areas segregated a little bit; just so that the members know what they’re doing.
There are also certain spaces where we can have a circuit going, maybe in the resistance training area or the weights area. This can create a really nice layout, which Life Fitness helped us with, when we set up the gym.
Having gone to different types of gyms and trying out the different equipment, I’ve found Hammer Strength and Life Fitness to really have the best quality. They’re really easy to use and also the servicing is really fantastic; they come out in a couple days and if there are issues then they’re fixed really easily.
Life Fitness is really well recognised. We’ve actually got people who do come into the gym saying, ‘Oh, you’ve got Life Fitness, that’s fantastic.’
