Matthew Paynter, Business Owner of the Brighton Baths Health Club is into his second decade of being a Life Fitness customer.
“We’re a high-end facility, with regards to the quality of delivery in what we do. And our customers and myself are very comfortable with the Life Fitness brand.”
Some 12 or 13 years ago, Owner Matthew Paynter transformed the facility from a gym to a health club. Nowadays, the strongest ethos with the venue is that the Life Club comes first, the health comes second, and fitness comes third.
Being such a unique facility, there is a knack to integrating everyone’s needs because sometimes there are swimmers, meditators, yogis, personal training clients, kids jumping off the pontoon… so it’s a bit of an art form to make the integration work seamlessly. “Our staff do such a wonderful job of that, and everyone’s very, very respectful of each other’s agenda (for want of a better term) in why they’re here. The ‘why’ in what we do really makes each little hurdle worthwhile.”
Brighton Baths Health Club has been going from strength to strength over the last 13 years, and Life Fitness has been with part of the journey, every step of the way.
“I prefer Life Fitness over the other brands. That’s not to say that I’m oblivious to those other brands, but every time I look at them, they’re just not up to scratch as far as quality goes; presentation of the actual equipment; reliability; and being ahead of the curve with the technology, which is what everyone expects nowadays in such a fast-moving world. We’ve really got to be ahead with keeping abreast of all the current changes, whilst maintaining our grounded aspect that we are here; it’s a nice integration.”
“Their customer service is another reason. I’m very very comfortable that if something, on the odd occasion, were to go wrong, it’s not what happens it’s how you deal with it in life; and Life Fitness have an ethos that integrates with my clients very, very well.”
