Hammer House have essentially stuck to two brands for their equipment: Life Fitness and Hammer Strength. “If you know your gym equipment, you know they’re definitely the top brands at the moment, particularly for cardio. Life Fitness always do the best steppers, the best treadmills, the best cross trainers. And Hammer Strength is the premium strength training equipment.”
“Life Fitness set us up with all this gear. It was all brand new and built in here. So, we didn’t get secondhand equipment or stock that had been sitting in a warehouse for however many years; it was all brand new. The members definitely notice when they come through; particularly, men and women who invested in their strength training. They look through and they see Hammer Strength and they right away say, ‘Okay, they’ve spared no expense here. They’ve got a very, very quality brand and this is obviously a quality establishment.’. It just raises the profile of the gym when you’ve got good equipment.”
Increasingly, members and the public who use health and fitness centres, are now recognising that if you use Life Fitness and Hammer Strength equipment then you know you’re in good hands. “It’s going to be a good gym with equipment that lasts the distance,” explains Stefan. “Because it’s very sturdy stuff. It lasts for years and years without breaking down.”
“The Life Fitness guys are great. I know that if I need my stepper repaired, it’s a quick and easy process and they will literally get there within a few days and have it fixed and ready for the members to use again. The best part about that is that it makes us look better as a business because the members will see that if something’s broken down and they’ll see that it’s been fixed within days. There’s never a need to hang a sign on it for three weeks that says ‘Repair coming. Sorry for the inconvenience. Out of order.’ Thankfully, when you deal with Life Fitness, you get that stuff sorted out very very quickly and efficiently; it always makes my life a lot easier!”
